Thanks for the opportunity to earn your business. We are very proud of the work that goes into each of our packs. The difference between us and the competition is apparent at first glance. We use only the highest quality cells, materials and workmanship. Our countless hours of research and development helped us to create a pack which we believe is the best on the market. Below are some design differences which explain why we can make these statements.
Polyolefin Shrink Wrap
We use polyolefin instead of PVC shrink wrap on all of our packs with the exception of Pro Series Packs where weight is critical. We found polyolefin (a thick rubbery cover) provides much more protection than PVC. This material can cost 10 times (or more) as much as PVC but we feel the additional protection and quality are worth the price.
Thermal Disc
We use Thermal Discs in the manufacturing of our packs to promote even heating and cooling of our cells. Early research indicated uneven heating and cooling rates were the prime contributor to pack imbalance which could result in premature pack failure. These discs were designed and engineered taking into consideration: insulation, heat dissipation, thermal properties, adhesion and proper cell spacing for cooling. The resulting design maximizes cell cooling while preserving pack integrity.
Leads with Triple Strain Relief
Another failure point for many packs is at cell termination/lead attach points. By the application of triple strain relief on the leads themselves we feel we have adequately addressed this problem while adding no significant weight or resistance to our pack design. Many other manufacturers either wrap their leads around the pack for strain relief (adding weight and resistance) or simply tape the leads down to the top of the pack.
Other Design Benefits
Cell matching: we use the strictest tolerances in the industry. Pro Series Packs are balanced to zero delta.
High Quality Electrical Tape: our tape has 600V dielectric strength, excellent adhesion, combined with very low elasticity. We tested many other tapes but this works best. Of course this tape comes at a high price10 times that of other tapes.
Silicon Insulated Wire
Triple Inspection: each pack is inspected no less than 3 times
·1) as the pack comes out of manufacturing,
·2) when it gets logged into inventory,
·3) before it is shipped to our customers. Each pack is labeled with the final inspection date and voltage before shipment from our facility.
Pack Balance Module (PBM): pack balancing wiring harness is standard on most packs and equipped with connectors compatible with our Pack Balance Module.
